A Love Letter to my Family and Friends by Elisa Gastellum
(Words given to Elisa's mom, Terri, at 4:30 am, on June 16, 2006)

Dear Family and Friends,
Do not let my death be in vain!
Remember me as a joyful, happy person that loved to party and be with my family and friends, but don't forget about my love for Jesus!

Remember that we are on a journey, and our final destination is Heaven. We are on Earth for a very short time and Eternity is forever!

Jesus was my best friend on Earth. I shared my dreams, my worries, my life with Him. I grew to love Jesus, by receiving Him in Holy Communion, and by visiting Him in the Blessed Sacrament. One of my greatest moments was singing to Him with all my heart, a short time before I died, in the Blessed Sacrament Adoration Chapel at St. John's Church.

Do not let my death be in vain!
Through my death, I want you to love Jesus as never before. Seek Him, and knock at the door of His heart. He will never force His love upon you, but He waits for you to knock. He will open the door to His heart, and your life will change forever!

Remember that Jesus loves you! He wants to forgive you your sins. He wants to fill you with His Spirit of joy and peace. Jesus wants to lead you to eternal happiness. Seek out His will for your life.

Do not let my death be in vain!
Remember Luke 11:9 "And I tell you, ask and you shall receive; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you."

Jesus died for you and for me! Allow Him to abide in your heart!

Be Not Afraid, Be Not Afraid, Be Not Afraid!

Jesus is a forgiving and merciful God. Go to Him, so that someday we will all be
reunited in Heaven for all eternity!

I love everyone of you! Even though I'm not with you physically, I'm alive in spirit, and I pray for each one of you. I will never forget you and I will always be with you when you call on my name.

 Love You Forever,
Elisa
